Thanks for the profile of my Little Free Library! It was a ton of fun designing it and even more seeing people stop by, finger through what’s there, take some pics, and leave with a book. We have a little free library #8433 here in Paris Ontario -have had it up for a year now and having great fun with it -there are 2 LFls in Paris but we have visited more than 60 across Ontario and Kitchener /Waterloo has their own LLKW- so there are many more to see -Happy hunting and READ ON !!! A recent enhancement to the street right in front of the State is this homage, a Little Free Library that’s a miniature version of the theatre with its own tiny marquee jutting out over the door.

Samson said she has never had any problems with having the library on her lawn, and has never found books scattered on her property. She said it’s a fun, feel-good project, and is the only Little Free Library in Sylvan Lake. This is the second season Samson has participated in the program. “It’s an opportunity for people to share their favourite books with each other.”

“Libraries are for everyone and so is this,” Samson said. She also invites people to share their books with the community by putting them in the mini library for others to enjoy.

“I’d like to have more of a selection which is for families, and not just adults,” Samson said. She said she would like to see more books left in the library geared towards children. Samson welcomes community members to browse through the neatly stacked books of fiction and non-fiction adult easy reads. This mini library stands tall on the front lawn of Sylvan Lake resident Susan Samson’s house and is complete with a hinged door, which protects the precious books. In front of house number 338 in Marina Bay Place stands a Little Free Library - a big birdhouse-looking structure filled with free books aimed at inspiring reading in the community.
